Lou Dobbs to Become Special Contributor to The Early Show

Whether one agrees or disagrees with Lou Dobbs, his new turn as populist-patriot is very much ahead of the curve and thoroughly ensconsed within the American historical tradition. The Lou Dobbs Factor is a fact of life; no doubt it will be influencing Presidential campaigns on either side of the aisle. It is so much so that it has been marvelled at by such old media hands as the perennially nut-brown tanned Ken Auletta and the supremely sober Kurt Andersen. And now he's coming to CBS, says Drudgie-Poo:

"Lou Dobbs, an award-winning television broadcaster, has been named a special contributor to THE EARLY SHOW, it was announced by Steve Friedman, Vice President, Morning Broadcasts, CBS News. Dobbs will contribute weekly commentaries to the broadcast, the first of which will appear on April 10.

"'What makes Lou stand out is that he’s not afraid to tackle the hot topics,' says Friedman. 'THE EARLY SHOW will surely benefit from having the unique and passionate perspective that Lou will now bring to morning television.'"

Shrewd move, Steve Friedman; shrewd move. More (Drudgereport)
