Clinton Helps Letterman Trump Leno

According to Drudge's numbers (The Corsair covers his ears), "LETTERMAN TOPS LENO WITH HELP OF CLINTON: RARE WIN FOR LETTERMAN 5.2 RATING/12 SHARE FOR CBS TO NBC 4.7/11... LETTERMAN/CLINTON HIT 16 MAX SHARE PHILLY; 22 MAX SHARE SAN FRAN; 23 MAX MINNEAPOLIS ..."

(The Corsair uncovers his ears) Ahhh, better ...

Which is a good turn for New York, as the LA-based Jay Leno regularly trounces NY Dave. Like, all the time.

But, for a night at least, Dave had juice. The Daily News reported:

"Outside, about 200 fans waited at the W. 53rd St. entrance to the Ed Sullivan Theater hoping for a Clinton autograph.

"And they weren't disappointed.

"After the show, Clinton signed baseballs, random bits of paper, hats and even a guitar for fans."

But not before autographing a copy of his 957 page doorstopper of a book to David Letterman's 9-month old son, Harry. Awwww.

The Corsair likes the Clinton on Letterman idea much better than doing Saturday Night Live, which is sure to take some glory off the old legacy.

Such a media whore Billy-Bob is...it's a good thing we have term limits--can't you just see the desire to be President again and again, dripping off him?
